Biography

Alexey Vladimirovich Bashkirov was born on April 15, 1977, in Moscow. His father is a diplomat and his mother is a chemist. 

Due to his father’s diplomatic career, Alexey spent part of his childhood abroad. He lived in the Netherlands and later moved to Sweden, returning to Moscow at the age of eight. 

He completed his secondary education in Moscow. 

In 1994, he enrolled at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), where he earned his specialist degree from the Faculty of International Economic Relations in 1999.

Career

In 1998, Alexey Bashkirov began his career at major international investment banks, including ING Barings, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs Group, and he also worked for the international consulting firm McKinsey & Company.

Bashkirov has held managerial positions in large companies, including serving as the acting head of an investment department.

In 2015, he became a partner at the investment fund Winter Capital, where he focused on global investments in technology projects, adhering to Western standards and values.

In 2023, Alexey exited all of his investment projects in Russia, shifting his focus abroad as part of a strategic decision to concentrate on global, innovative, and socially oriented projects.

Interests and Hobbies

Alexey Vladimirovich is fluent in English and German and continues to study Italian. 

He lives and works in Moscow.

Public Activity

Bashkirov is actively involved in promoting a culture of entrepreneurship among young leaders and supporting social entrepreneurship.

He is the founder of the charitable foundation “Donum” in the field of medical education, whose first project involved awarding scholarships to anesthesiology residents in Russia. This initiative is aimed at supporting young professionals and enhancing the quality of medical care.

Alexey actively participates in public and charitable activities, continually exerting a significant influence on the development of social responsibility in business.
